About Thompson
Known as the "Hub of the North", Thompson is one of Manitoba's more remote destinations. But with waterfalls, wilderness, wolves and more at your fingertips, this Northern city is the perfect place for true adventurers.

A variety of nearby provincial parks offer everything from waterfalls—including Kwasitchewan Falls, Manitoba's tallest—and back-country hiking to pristine beaches and secluded camping. Thompson itself also has plenty to keep you busy, and a great way to explore the city is on the guided Spirit Way trail alongside artwork inspired by the wolves occasionally seen on the edge of town. Make sure you take time for a visit to the Heritage North Museum to really capture the unique history and identity of this city.
